This is what happens when people inadvertently exercise.

Tonight Steve and I were walking home from the fireworks and we saw a rather scantily clad woman get out of a car with two young men, walk down the street, start talking to another guy, start making out with him, and go in an apartment with him. In like under 30 seconds.

About 1000 yards from my apartment.

Although I was not called down, I will be quite visible in the audience of the Price is Right on May 9th! Our seats were about 4 rows back right behind contestants row, and the woman right next to Steve got called down.

More later -- so burnt and tired!

For any of you who are interested, this Saturday there is quite a large comedy festival at U of I for Mom's weekend.

Not sure if this will work, but this is the facebook link to it.

The following groups are all performing:
DeBono
Like Disco But Not Really
C.L.O.A.K.A.
Potted Meat
Titanic Players
Spicy Clamato
Fishing With Dynamite
Improv Maffia
Big Dog Eat Child

It's $4 if you can dig up your U of I student ID, and $5 otherwise, 8p.m. in the Courtyard Cafe.

I'm going -- just thought I'd pass the word along if you hadn't already heard about it.

S.C. Lawmakers Weigh Abortion Bill

I'm not trying to push one side or the other, I just find it interesting because this does nothing to address the root of the issue. I don't know how this can be taken as anything other than anti-abortionists trying to sway the other side, rather than enacting good, solid, ethical laws. I liked the bioethicist's comments I saw on ABC News where he said, "we don't require a patient undergoing heart surgery or other medical procedures to see a video or a model of the human heart or other part."

Also, so the missing boyscout was found. Apparantly he was "homesick" and wanted to go home himself. He was found a mile away from the campsite, and according to the news, didn't seem to realize that people were looking for him. I'm sorry, but if you disappear from a boyscout camping trip for FOUR DAYS and make no contact with another human being, what do you think was going to happen? And how could you not notice helicopters circling overhead? He didn't even express thanks to the searchers from what I can tell. He was wandering around and just said he wanted some water and food. He even took a nap on the stretcher on the way out of the woods, and when the rescuers asked if he was taking a nap, he jus

Geez, Carolinas. Get yourselves together.

It is now 9:26p.m. and I am still in lab.

Not because I am still working (although I was until about 8:30), but because I can't find my keys.

I've spent the last hour retracing all of my steps since I saw them last, asking custodians in three different buildings, and tearing my lab and office apart.

I've never lost my keys before.

I've accepted defeat for tonight, emailed the people in charge of the seminar I attended where I last saw them, and am now just trying to reach a friend to pick me up and let me stay at their house.

Today is Steve's med school interview at OSU. I think he is ready, and we both agree we've done all we can in preparation. It's just so crazy that it is finally here.

I'm half nervous, half excited.

This is a short one, but Christmas went okay -- and now we're on to wedding. My sister is getting married in three days, and I am very excited and nervous. I hope things come together -- there is still a lot to do! We assembled programs today, are decorating the reception hall tomorrow, then I'm not sure what. We're all staying at the hotel (me in a room with my grandma, and my parents next door). I'm sure there will be lots to tell, as there already is, but I am sleepy right now.
